Mamoun Muhammed

Professor Mamoun Muhammed is currently Chair Professor, Director of Functional Materials Division and Nano Characterisation Centre at the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He has been there since 1969 in different positions and received his Ph.D. in 1975. He originally received his B.Sc. degree from Cairo University, Egypt. Dr. Muhammed has published over 200 papers, co-edited one book and has been a guest editor to two special volumes in the Nanostructured Materials Journal. He has more than 220 conference and seminar presentations of which more than 60 have been plenary, keynote and invited lectures. Dr. Muhammed also has more than 20 patents and patent applications, several of which have been filed in different European countries and the USA. Dr. Muhammed has been a visiting professor in Spain, Italy, Korea, Albania, China, USA and Egypt, and he is active in several national and international organisations. Prof. Muhammed is the Chairman of the International Committee on Nanocrytalline Materials, Chairman of Egypt National Committee on Advanced Materials, and Chairman of the steering committee for the Nordic Nanotechnology Program.
